Evocarbs is a triple combination of carbohydrates from: Maltodextrin, Dextrose and Fructose
Therefore, our body will absorb the glucose gradually and progressively. When we perform an activity such as CrossFit, our performance will depend on the capacity of our energy deposits, which are mainly made up of muscle and liver glycogen. Our performance will drop as we run out of this energy during successive weightlifting sets or during several WOD rounds. Using a proper energy supply during this process can help us overcome this energy deficiency, which is key for enhancing and boosting our physical performance and to make sure that we complete our workout successfully.
Evocarbs includes an electrolyte matrix for a proper hydration. As we all know, the thermogenesis caused by a hard workout makes us sweat in order to lower the heat. Consequently, we will be losing both liquid (water) and mineral salts, which has serious consequences for our body. Let's not forget that the mineral salts are a set of minerals that must remain in perfect balance in order to produce the neuromuscular impulses properly. A direct consequence of losing a lot of these mineral salts will be cramps and muscle seizures, which will make us stop.

This product is the ergogenic supplement with most scientific support. Creatine was designed to improve the athletic and sport performance by saturating the ATP deposits. This molecule is the energy used by the cells during very intense and short activities.
CrossFit is a discipline that can benefit from creatine because it involves sub-maximal repetition sets performed at a high intensity and with a short break.
The ATP deposits need a period of time to be completely resynthesized, around 3-5 minutes. Although around 70% will have been recharged in a shorter period of time. Creatine supplementation will recharge these reserves faster, so that we will be able to perform an Olympic lift or a set of sprints successfully. Moreover, creatine increases the strength and muscle growth.
The fluid retention occurs at an intracellular level, not subcutaneous, which means that the effects are minimal at an esthetic level. But they will have a significant effect on the physical performance by keeping the cells hydrated.
Citrulline Malate is a combination of an amino acid with a salt which helps to enhance the athletic performance in three ways:
Contributing to the ATP resynthesis: as we previously mentioned, intense activities empty the phosphagen deposits, so it is necessary to wait for a certain amount of time if we want to recharge this energy pathway. Citrulline can help with this aspect and shorten the ATP recharge.
NO precursor (Nitric Oxide): this substance is released by our body when there are precursors available such as citrulline. Therefore, this will improve the nutrient transport and cell oxygenation to the muscle tissues, which is an excellent support for those muscles that are completely active.
Improving the excretion of metabolic waste: like lactate or ammonia, among others. These are products of a high intensity activity which alter the blood levels, resulting in a worse performance and acute muscle fatigue. We may have to finish the activity at that precise moment depending on its intensity, when we reach our limit. Citrulline can clean the tissues quite quickly, so that we can continue with the physical activity. In fact, it also has antioxidant properties.
Beta-Alanine is an amino acid which is in charge of increasing the concentration of muscle carnosine. Therefore, it is a precursor form of carnosine. The properties of this amino acid are directly related to a better performance, particularly in those activities that last more than 45-60 seconds, like any WOD from CrossFit. Its effect consists of buffering the lactic acid that is produced in high intensity efforts and which alter the blood pH. This would make us reduce the intensity of the exercise or, in the worst case, stop completely. Carnosine will neutralize the hydrogen ions, like a buffer.
Beta-alanine produces a synergistic effect when combined with creatine, that is, they enhance their effects mutually when they are taken together.
Evobcaa's are branched chain amino acids (BCAA's), which are a type of essential amino acids, those that our body is not able to synthesize which means that they must obtained through the diet and/or supplementation. In the case of BCAA's, their importance lies in the fact that they make up around a third of the skeletal muscle, they are also the ones that suffer more damage or breakdown due to physical stress.
L-Leucine is one of the 3 BCAA's and it is possibly the one with the highest anabolic properties: it stimulates the metabolic pathway, known as the mTOR, which starts off all the tasks that are necessary for the protein synthesis.
HOW TO TAKE?
This pack has been designed for the Peri-workout which are the moments before, during and after the workout. In this case, it is advisable to take little sips of the intra-workout drink between the sets or just before and after the WODS.
Here you have a scheme of how to use this pack according to the nutrient availability and weight of each person:
From 30 to 45min before the workout, mix the following amounts in 200ml of water:
- 1/2-1 scoop of Evobcaa's
- 2-4g of Beta Alanine
- 6-8g of Citrulline Malate
During the Workout
Every 30-45min of physical activity:
- 1-1.5 scoop of Evocarbs in 400ml of water.
Mix the following products in 400ml of water:
- 1/2-1 scoop of Evobcaa's
- 2-4g of Beta Alanine
- 1g of Creatine per 10kg of body weight
