L-Carnitine L-Tartrate 1000mg - High Concentration + Absorption
L-Carnitine L-Tartrate 1000mg by EssentialSeries is a food supplement in vegetable capsules made from the form of L-Carnitine mixed with L-Tartaric Acid (Carnitine Tartrate), in a 2:1 ratio (2 units of L-Carnitine + 1 unit of L-Tartaric Acid).
L-Carnitine (3-hydroxy-4-trimethylamino butyric acid) is a quaternary ammonium compound synthesised by combining the amino acids lysine and methionine, which bind to a long chain of acyl CoA to form acyl-carnitine, which plays a biological role in the process of beta-oxidation in the body's mitochondrial membrane.
L-Carnitine L-Tartrate is a studied and validated way of providing the compound L-Carnitine in a safe and effective way.
Maximum quality control - You have found a TOP L-Carnitine!
L-Carnitine L-Tartrate form: Faster absorption than other forms
L-Carnitine can be administered in many forms, one of the best known for its relevance is LCLT (L-Carnitine L-Tartrate), the presentation of this product, and the Carnipure® patented alternatives, available in our catalogue:
It is also often found as Acetyl-L-Carnitine (ALCAR):
The Carnitine Tartrate form is a salt of L-Carnitine bound to tartaric acid which appears to have a faster absorption when measured 3.5 hours after ingestion, with maximum bioavailability equivalent to the base L-Carnitine.
It is the form most commonly used in scientific studies carried out with athletes due to the faster influx of L-carnitine coinciding with activity when taken earlier.
2:1 ratio - The ideal ratio for use as a food supplement
The combination of L-Carnitine base + L-Tartaric Acid has certain proportions.
Of all of them, the 2:1 ratio in favour of L-carnitine is the one most studied in tests carried out on sportspeople, which is why it is the one we use as the raw material for our carnitine tartrate supplement.
High concentration per vegetable capsule: 1 gram of L-Carnitine Tartrate
The dose of L-Carnitine L-Tartrate studied in scientific studies varies between one gram and 3 grams as the range most frequently linked to the effectiveness of the compound.
This is why unit dosage in capsule formats is an important factor to consider, as the more quantity in each capsule, the easier it is to reach the recommended daily dose conveniently and efficiently.
Each of our vegetable capsules provides 1 full gram of high-purity L-Carnitine L-Tartrate. Thanks to the granulometry control we carry out extremely meticulously to bring you the highest purity and concentration with maximum convenience.
No cosmetic additives - No artificial colours! - Just what you're looking for
At HSN, we maintain a clean development philosophy, avoiding the use of additives and other ingredients in products solely for cosmetic reasons (such as dulling and colouring the capsules).
Our vegetable capsules are transparent, just like us. We don't add unnecessary compounds to our formulas, only the best you need for your daily nutrition.
Vegetable capsules - Carnitine suitable for vegetarian and vegan diets
L-carnitine is a compound found mainly in foods of animal origin. However, our L-Carnitine L-Tartrate is of pure vegetable origin, which, together with the vegetable glazing agent, makes it the perfect L-Carnitine food supplement for vegetarians and vegans who want to supplement their diet with a suitable compound.
L-Carnitine and D-Carnitine. Why is it important that we ensure that it is 100% Levo-?
Carnitine occurs naturally in the form of the Levo- (L-) enantiomer. This compound is extremely safe but only its L- enantiomer should be used.
The D-Carnitine form, present in some of the supplements labelled 'Carnitine' without further details, has side effects. It interferes with the natural form of L-carnitine in relation to intestinal absorption and reversing resorption in the kidneys.
Use only L-Carnitine tartrate, as is HSN's product, as D-Carnitine or mixtures with the D-form are harmful.
L-Carnitine tartrate in the vegan population - A need to be met
75% of the body's carnitine comes from the diet because although it is not an essential compound, the rate of human synthesis is very low. This is why it is important to eat foods with a high carnitine content, such as meat and eggs, in order to maintain an optimal nutritional status.
However, vegan diets are often severely deficient in this compound. The use of carnitine supplements is therefore considered appropriate for vegetarians and vegans.
Carnitine levels may be deficient in the blood, in muscle (where it is primarily stored), or in both. The human body normally has levels of 50-60 μmol/L of total carnitine and 40-50 μmol of free carnitine.
Carnitine deficiency (low levels in the body) is common in the vegan population due to a lack of dietary intake of carnitine.
Supplement your diet with top-quality L-Carnitine L-Tartrate!
Recommended uses with other must-have products
Carnitine Tartrate combines perfectly with a multitude of compounds and has no known negative interactions with any dietary supplement.
One of the most important compounds for carnitine is Vitamin C, as its synthesis involves different vitamin C-dependent enzymes and its deficiency has a very negative effect on L-carnitine synthesis in the body.
Other recommendations for use in combination with Carnitine Tartrate are:
- ALA (Alpha Lipoic Acid).
- Choline (especially CDP-Choline).
- Soy isoflavones.
- Coenzyme Q10.
- Caffeine.
