HSN Factory Renews Its Higher Level Rating for IFS Food Certification

HSN has been awarded an excellent rating! Our factory has renewed its IFS Food certification with the Higher Level rating of excellence, applied to food product manufacturers. This marks the third renewal since 2021, when we became the first brand in the sector with our own factory in Spain to achieve this certification—considering, in addition, the extensive range of products manufactured at our facility in Granada.

What is IFS Food?

IFS Food (International Featured Standards) sets internationally recognised quality standards under the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), applied to food manufacturers. These standards are assessed by Bureau Veritas, the entity responsible for granting the IFS Food certification.

What Does the Higher Level Rating Mean?

For the third consecutive year, HSN’s factory has successfully renewed the certification obtained in 2021 and renewed in 2022 and 2023, when it achieved the Higher Level rating.

Recently, we renewed our certification once again with the highest possible rating, demonstrating our commitment to food safety and compliance with all relevant procedures.

In 2021, we became the first brand in the sports nutrition and healthy food sector in Spain to achieve IFS Food certification with our own factory. This is in addition to the extensive range of different products produced at our HSN facility in Granada.

We are much more than just a brand with its own factory! Among our departments, we have a dedicated Research, Development, and Innovation (R&D&I) team, made up of specialists in nutrition, dietetics, pharmacy, and physical preparation.

IFS Food strengthens our commitment to the safety and quality of all our products—something we have prioritised at HSN since the very beginning. This certification recognises our excellence in the operation of our factory, covering the following areas:

Blending of food supplement formulations in powder format.
Encapsulation or compression of food supplements.
Packaging of food supplements in softgel format.

More than 3,300 products across the 7 HSN product lines are now manufactured in our own facilities under the Higher Level IFS Food certification standards.

Other HSN Quality Certifications

Alongside the renewal of our IFS Food certification, we have also renewed our GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) certifications in 2024, also awarded by Bureau Veritas to our HSN factory.

After developing and manufacturing all our products under the strictest internal and external quality controls, we complete the production chain with direct sales to consumers through our online store.

This allows us to apply the End to End philosophy, eliminating intermediaries that increase selling prices; and the Right Price approach, ensuring our customers receive the best products on the market, made from the highest-quality raw materials, at a fair price to continue our development and growth.

In 2025, we are expanding our commitment to quality across all production processes, as well as the development of new formulations in the fields of nutrition, health, and healthy eating.
