Today, December 3rd is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. From HSN, we want to show our support and promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all the fields of society in general.

That is why last year we started collaborating with the ADEMO Foundation in Madrid. Above all, their objective is to provide support and give opportunities to those who suffer intellectual or growth disabilities and their families. So that, in the end, they will be able to improve their quality of life and promote their inclusion as citizens with full rights in a fair and supportive society.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2019
This year, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) focuses on empowering people with disabilities for an inclusive, equal and sustainable growth, according to the United Nations.

Why this date?
The General Assembly of the United Nations proclaimed the IDPD in 1992. Above all, its purpose is to promote the rights and well-being of all those who suffer a disability in any aspect of society.
From then, every December 3rd has commemorated this day. In fact, it is one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) by the United Nations.

These goals refer to disability in regards to education, economic growth and employment, inequity and accessibility. In addition, it also contemplates gathering data and tracking the SDG.
The global population is around seven thousand million people. Well, approximately a 15% suffers some kind of disability. Therefore, it is extremely important that both public and private institutions work together to integrate and help them grow. HSN joins and supports every single one of them.
