What is the HSN Precision Electronic Balance?
The HSN Precision Electronic Balance from HSNaccessories is a mass measuring device with a sensitivity of 0.01g.
It's the ideal utensil for precise dosages of dietary supplements whose sensitivity margin is measured in milligrams, such as 5-HTP powder and other products in the RawSeries range.
The HSN Precision Electronic Scale is European Conformity certified, which guarantees that it has been evaluated and complies with the specifications of the directives and regulations that allow its marketing in the European Economic Area.
Why buy the Precision Electronic Balance?
The dosage of powdered food supplements is based on the calculation of quantities in relation to a given volume.
For example, a dosage of Evowhey Protein 2.0 is equivalent to approximately 30g of protein.
This, although it is a convenient, simple and fairly accurate means of measurement, is not unequivocal, as:
- There may be changes in a powder's density due to humidity, after it's opened at home for the first time.
- A user may involuntarily compress the powder in the ladle, increasing the mass of the product by the same volume.
- In smaller dosage dispensers, it's easier to overflow the ladle, which can cause a greater margin of error in the measurement.
When we use pure dietary supplements, such as those from the RawSeries range, the measurement needs to be as precise as possible, and this is particularly difficult for supplements where kitchen scales are not sensitive to their measurement, as is the case with products that are dosed in milligrams.
The HSN Precision Electronic Balance has been manufactured following the highest standards of performance and accuracy control in the measurement of mass, calibrated to a sensitivity of 10mg.
What does the HSN Precision Electronic Balance include?
In its box, you'll find the following items necessary for its correct functioning and operation:
- Main Balance frame.
- Scale tray.
- AC adaptor.
- Calibration weight.
- User manual.
With the complete pack you can make extensive use of the balance and enjoy all of its features.
Why the HSN Precision Electronic Balance?
Digital, easier to operate
With its digital display, measurement readings are precise – there won’t be any of the errors in interpretation you get with analogue versions.
Maximum precision
The measurement sensitivity of the HSN electronic scale is 0.01g; or what is the same, 10mg.
It assures a minimum margin of error and maximum precision for users measuring food and dietary supplements.
Large capacity
The weighing capacity is 500g.
Far superior to other options on the market with the same sensitivity as our scale, which guarantees not only the precise determination of supplements with smaller dosages, but also of any product sold by HSN.
So that you're not limited by anything!
In compliance with current regulations
The HSN Precision Electronic Balance is marketed within the European Economic Area with all the safety and quality guarantees established by the European framework.
This is evidenced by its European Marking code, which can be seen on its packaging.
In addition, the scale has been manufactured in compliance with the ISO 9001:2008 regulatory standards, which ensures conformance to the requirements of the quality management system, certified by the TQCSI.
How to use the HSN Precision Electronic Balance?
The balance must follow a calibration process each time it’s switched on. This is a way of ensuring maximum accuracy when the measurement sensitivity has such a reduced margin.
Calibration process:
- Place the tray on the balance frame, if it is not already arranged in such a way.
- Place the balance on a stable, even surface without electromagnetic interference.
- Plug the AC adaptor into a power source and into the base of the balance , from the back.
- Press the 'POWER' button, located on the front.
- Press 'CAL' for 3 seconds, with no weight on the balance . When the calibration begins, 'CAL-d3' will appear, then '500.00g'.
- Place the Calibration Weight that comes with the product on the balance . '-- CAL-' will appear on the display, then it will mark the 500.00g, which indicates that the balance has been calibrated.
- If the weight indicated is not 500g, repeat the process from point 4.
Once calibrated, the scale is ready to weigh with a precision of 0.01g!1
Multi-mode balance
The balance is not limited to only measuring in 'grams', it can also measure in alternative units, such as ounces.
For this, once calibrated, you can convert the measurement units following these steps:
- Press 'MODE' for 3 second until the word 'UNIT' appears on the screen.
- Press the button 'TARE' and press 'MODE' until the desired unit is selected, e.g. oz.
- Press 'TARE' to confirm the selection.
Other functions of the balance
The balance has additional functions such as:
- The counting of units of the same mass after its collective determination from 10 units.
- It can also measure mass percentages compared to an established reference.
You'll find all the balance's functions in the instruction manual included in the product packaging.
1 At each weighing, while the balance is establishing the exact weight, a black dot will appear on the left side of the display. Once this dot disappears, the weight has been established accurately.

Good buy

The scale is one of the best I have ever had, for me it is too much for weighing protein, but if you are very picky it is perfect, very accurate, if you want the same accuracy on another scale it will cost you twice as much.
