What are Whole Grain Oat Flakes?
Whole Grain Oat Flakes by FoodSeries is a food based on 100% whole grain oat flakes.
Oats, whose scientific name is Avena sativa L., is a herbaceous plant belonging to the cereal group. It’s highly valued for its great nutritional richness, as it is high in fibre, provides quality nutrients, and is low in sugar.
This is a 100% GMO-free product.
Why eat Whole Grain Oat Flakes?
Because they are an excellent source of carbohydrates, widely used in fitness diets due to their great versatility.
What are oat flakes?
Oat flakes consist of oat groats that have been mechanically crushed in order to make them more convenient, without affecting the original nutritional properties of the grain in any way.
FoodSeries oat flakes are a completely pure product, without fillers or additives, produced according to the highest quality standards.
High fibre content
Wholegrain oat flakes have a high fibre content.
Oats support intestinal transit and help to maintain a good transit.
In addition, the consumption of oats can help with body weight control due to their satiating effects.
High protein content
Oats, unlike most cereals, have a high protein content, which makes them the perfect cereal for fitness diets.
Protein contributes to the maintenance and gain of muscle mass.
Source of carbohydrates
Oats are a cereal with a high carbohydrate content but a low sugar content, as their saccharides are mostly polymerised in the form of starch.
Carbohydrates contribute to the recovery of normal muscle function (contraction) after high intensity and/or long duration physical exercise leading to muscle fatigue and depletion of glycogen stores in skeletal muscle.1
Why buy Whole Grain Oat Flakes from HSN?
Our oats are whole grain
Fine oat flakes are nothing more than the traditional 'old-fashioned' flakes, milled to improve their texture and make them more versatile in use.
We don't remove any fraction of the natural flakes, either in whole or partially.
We keep the germ, endosperm and bran of the cereal in order to keep the whole nutritional matrix available in our product.
Wanting to make a shake? It's best to opt for instant oat flour, from which the tougher parts of the bran have been removed from the flake to improve its solubility and texture.
Vegan-friendly
Many oats are not suitable for vegans as they are processed in factories where meat derivatives, usually of bovine and porcine origin, are treated.
We guarantee that our oat flakes have been processed in a factory that has all the quality guarantees and that they are free from animal origin or sources.
100% vegan-friendly oat flakes.
Improved texture
Surprise yourself with the texture of FoodSeries oat flakes.
The oat flakes we make aren’t presented as a whole flake, but are crushed mechanically to break them into smaller fragments.
What do we achieve with this?
- A much better texture when mixed in hot or cold water.
- A more homogeneous and more evenly distributed mixture with proteins and other flavoured preparations.
- A lower heat exposure time requirement for preparing dishes.
- A simpler format for the baking of breads and similar preparations.
Wholemeal Oat Flakes are ideal for breakfast or as a snack, with fruit, vegetable drinks or creams and butters.
What products can you combine them with?
They go great with:
- Evopro (Premium protein mix) +Digezyme.
- Almond Butter.
- Virgin Coconut Oil.
- Orange and Chocolate Syrup.
- Egg White Powder.
- Defatted Peanut Butter Powder.
1 The effect is achieved with the consumption of carbohydrates, from all sources, at a total intake of 4g per kg body weight, in doses, during the first 4 hours and no later than 6 hours after intense and/or long duration physical exercise leading to muscle fatigue and depletion of glycogen stores in skeletal muscle.

A satisfied customer says:
I loved them
Rg 07/02/2023
I really liked them - they are thin so they give a very nice texture to the milk if you make them in a bowl. Also very versatile to use in recipes (cookies, yogurt, bowls, etc.).

Too thin
Ib 19/04/2023
Personally I prefer the less crushed flakes, these have been too fine for me. In the end I used them more as a substitute for oatmeal than as porridge flakes (which is what I wanted them for). For those who like this texture better, they are great value for money.

Thin whole grain oat flakes: my weekly staple
Emilio 30/12/2025
I love these thin oat flakes because they are quick to make and look great in porridge or yogurt. The texture is soft and satiating, so they are great for breakfast or snacks. I usually mix them with fruit and a little cinnamon, and when I'm in a hurry I leave them to soak and that's it. A simple, economical and very easy to use basic.

Quality and good price, I've tried many and I'll take this one without a doubt, the pity is that they are out of stock a lot.
