What is Matcha Green Tea Powder?
Matcha Green Tea Powder by EssentialSeries is a powdered food made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, dried and pulverised to produce a finely sieved matcha tea.
Matcha tea is a tea grown in various regions of Japan, a young tea, harvested approximately three weeks after germination and grown in low light conditions.
This product contains only high-quality matcha green tea leaves, with no additives, making it 100% suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Why take Matcha Green Tea Powder?
Matcha tea. How is it different from green tea?
Green tea and matcha green tea are obtained from the same plant: Camellia sinensis, so the beneficial properties of green tea, such as its content of catechins and other polyphenols, are shared by matcha tea.
Unlike standard green tea, matcha tea is grown in controlled environmental conditions, away from exposure to sunlight that 'ripens' its leaves and decreases its amino acid content.
This cultivation method allows matcha tea to have a more intense umami taste than green tea, as its content of amino acids such as L-theanine and L-arginine is higher than in sun-harvested green tea leaves; as a result, its taste is sweeter and it is usually consumed without the need for sweetening.
Why buy Matcha Tea in HSN?
Qualified in polyphenols
Polyphenols are compounds naturally present in plants to which specific characteristics have been attributed.
The main polyphenols in green tea are the catechins it contains.
Our matcha green tea is grown, harvested and processed using techniques and controlling factors that determine the quality of the product at every stage of the process, resulting in a tea leaf powder of the highest quality.
Reflected in their polyphenol content, organic compounds that are very sensitive to degradation by heat, acidic environments, exposure to light and other factors.
Ensuring 15% of the product's polyphenol content is a sign of good control and traceability of the raw material used for the production of matcha green tea.
Which products take Matcha Green Tea Powder with?
It goes great with products such as:
- Glycine.
- GABA.
- Ashwagandha (10:1) extracto.
- Kale powder.
- Vitamin C 1000mg + Bioflavonoids + Rose Hip.

Spectacular discovery. Unbeatable value for money. It tastes much better than some of the more expensive ones on the market. Ideal alternative to caffeine.

Dissolves regularly
María 06/07/2023
In both water and milk it does not dissolve well and remains at the bottom of the cup, but with a blender or shaker it is fine. It has a very strong tea flavor, a matter of taste.

Good value for money

The texture is fine and dissolves well if properly prepared with whisk or frother. Good matcha tea powder quality-price.

A wonderful product
Andrea 13/06/2025
I don't know how many purchases I have already made of this product, but I love it. I take it in the mornings to give me energy and it is very good for me. I buy the 150 grams and since you have to take very little a day, it lasts me many months. I highly recommend it!

For those interested in matcha for its benefits and not its taste
Ali 03/06/2025
I bought it mainly out of curiosity, given the price. The quality is as expected for the price. It's a green powder that's not as fine as the average quality ones (the benefit is that you don't need to use a sieve). It mixes well with water at 70c. The taste is bad. The notes of acidity completely dominate, even when used with milk or protein. It has no dimension, it's just bitter.

Fabulous
Te matcha 24/05/2025
Matcha tea amazing, one of the best I've tried, good taste, dissolves very well at least in water which is how I've tried it, the only downside is the closure that is clogged with matcha and does not close, I would change the container.
