Vitex Extract (4:1) 300mg from EssentialSeries is a food supplement in vegan capsules based on extract of fruits of chasteberry, also known as chastewort (Vitex agnus-castus L.).
Agnus-castus is a traditional plant, used by women for centuries, with a wealth of data on its effects and safety in monographs around the world, such as the EU monograph on Vitex fruits (EMA, 2018).
This is a dietary supplement suitable for vegan diets.
Because chasteberry is a plant characterised by its concentration of flavonoids of interest to women (such as Vitexin, or Casticin).
Don't miss out on the properties of Vitex agnus-castus!
The Vitex plant has recognised positive effects on women, as it helps during the menstrual cycle.
It helps maintain good comfort (before and during), and physiological well-being (during) the menstrual cycle.
In addition, it can be used at any age of adulthood, as it also contributes to female hormonal balance during the climacteric (pre-menopausal) period.
The Chaste Tree (Vitex agnus-castus L.) also has other effects not related to female sexuality, such as:
- Contributing to the recovery of physical and mental well-being.
- Helping maintain joint mobility and flexibility.
The extract used has been obtained from Chaste Plant fruits. Why is this important?
Because not all parts of the plant have the same concentration of chemical constituents, and according to monograph reports, fruits are the main focus of concentration of flavonoids of interest in the plant.
Other brands buy cheap raw materials, where the Vitex fruits are mixed with other parts of the plant such as roots or upper parts, reducing its nutritional richness and giving you a lower quality product.
At HSN have en extract that's 100% from the fruits of the agnus castus.
Herbal extracts are complex compounds, which are produced by exposing a plant (in this case Vitex) to a solvent for extraction and subsequent concentration by atomisation to produce a dry extract.
Depending on the characteristics of the process, and the potential of the plant, each extract can have a specific concentration, and many companies use low-concentration extracts because their raw material is cheaper, which is why they have less control over the factors in the production process.
The extraction ratio of our Vitex agnus-castus is 4:1, which means that it is 4 times more concentrated than the original herbal raw material.
Greater concentration to get the most out of its benefits!
Vitex agnus-castus capsules are vegetable, and our food supplement is vegan.
Surprised? Not at HSN!
Some time ago we started developing all our food preparations and supplements with 100% vegan ingredients, including the complete replacement of gelatine as a coating agent for our capsules.
Enjoy your food supplements suitable for a vegan diet without limitation!
Thanks to the high concentration of the extract used in the development of the food supplement, it's only necessary to use one capsule, once a day.
At HSN we try to make it easier for you to take your food supplements, with ultra-concentrated and ultra-purified versions so that you don't have to worry about taking a large number of tablets several times.
