How Peak ATP® works and its benefits on sports performance

  • Peak ATP® is a patented ATP molecule that is orally ingested and used to improve athletic performance and body composition.
  • The key to Peak ATP® is its ability to act outside the cells, increasing blood flow, muscle contractions and recovery.
  • Peak ATP® can stimulate muscle excitability, combat muscle fatigue and provide an increase in ATP.
  • Peak ATP® is safe for oral use and can be combined with other supplements. It can be consumed by athletes, physically active people, older adults and vegans and/or vegetarians.

PEAK ATP® is a patented orally ingested ATP molecule developed by TSI. This supplement is used to improve athletic performance and body composition by increasing blood flow, muscle contractions and recovery. Do you want to know more about it and what it is indicated for? In this post we offer you all the keys.

How does Peak ATP® work?

What is ATP?

The key to Peak ATP is its ability to act outside cells, thanks to a class of receptors known as purinergic receptors found in the cell membrane.

ATP can increase blood flow, tissue oxygenation and even reduce pain perception.

Circulating levels of ATP in the blood play a role in controlling muscle excitability. Although the ATP molecule is not bioavailable, Peak ATP is responsible for raising extracellular ATP levels to increase athletic performance and anabolic stimulus.

ATP-ADP cycle

This system is governed by an energy exchange, so that to maintain contractile activity, a constant flow of this molecular material is required. Thus, when a phosphate bond is broken, a large amount of energy is released and ADP (adenosine diphosphate) is obtained.

When this occurs, ADP is “recycled” (Phosphorylation) in the mitochondria by “recharging” with a phosphate group and again yielding an ATP molecule.

Extracellular ATP

Benefits of Peak ATP® on muscle performance

1. It stimulates muscle excitability

Muscle excitability is crucial for good muscle contraction and, therefore, greater athletic performance. The release of calcium is fundamental to this process, as it acts as a “trigger” for muscle contraction.

Benefits of Peak ATP® on muscle performance

In this respect, Peak ATP plays an important role by increasing the amount of calcium available to the muscles, which results in increased muscle excitability.

With the use of Peak ATP, increases in weight and reps per set can be experienced, which can be beneficial for those looking to improve their athletic performance and increase their strength, speed or endurance.

2. It fights muscle fatigue

Muscle fatigue occurs when the muscle loses the ability to respond quickly to the stimulus that commands it to contract, due to a decrease in muscle excitability caused by cellular calcium depletion during intense activity.

This results in a significant reduction in the ability to generate force.

To prevent muscle fatigue, it is necessary to increase muscle excitability, which would allow for greater muscle contractions.

3. It provides an increase in ATP

Peak ATP® increases the availability of ATP in red blood cells, which produces a vasodilatory effect that increases blood flow and oxygenation, accelerating the excretion of metabolic waste products.

Oral ATP supplementation can prevent high-intensity exercise-induced declines in ATP and its metabolite, delaying muscle fatigue and improving muscle power and excitability.

This would be beneficial for sports that require intermittent submaximal efforts such as Crossfit or HIIT training.

How to take Peak ATP®?

The recommended dose of Peak ATP is 400mg daily.

  • For training days, it is recommended to be taken as a pre-workout, 30 to 60 minutes prior to activity, on an empty stomach. It can be taken with water.
  • For rest days, it is recommended to be taken before breakfast.

How long do I have to take Peak ATP® to see results?

Prolonged supplementation is recommended to enhance the effect, although visible changes in body composition may be seen within 6-8 weeks.

How long should I take Peak ATP® to see results?

Significant changes in strength and fatigue resistance can be seen over 2 weeks, and improvements in blood flow in 1 week.

What to combine Peak ATP® with?

As it is a performance supplement, the possible products with which it can be combined are: Citrulline Malate, Beta-Alanine, Creatine, Carbohydrates, among others.

Peak ATP® is often marketed as part of a Pre-Workout Supplement, such as ATP Energy Peak.

Who can take Peak ATP®?

  • Athletes and/or sportspeople: for competitive purposes, seeking to increase power, strength and muscle mass, reduce fatigue and accelerate recovery.
  • People who regularly do physical activities: even if they do not have competition purposes but are looking for a product through which they can receive the above benefits, and that in such a way, helps them to increase their training volume and intensity.
  • Older adults: it can alleviate sarcopenia (loss of muscle mass due to age), and facilitate sports activities (THE main tool against sarcopenia).

*It can also be consumed by Vegans and/or Vegetarians.

Peak ATP® Side Effects

Peak ATP is safe for oral use, as declared in 2015 by the GRAS (“Generally Recognized As Safe”) certificate established by the FDA. Among the properties it meets: it does not contain genetically modified organisms (GMO-Free); in addition to Kosher and GMP manufacturing accreditations.

It is not stimulating, nor does it produce adverse effects on heart rate or blood pressure.

It is always recommended to consult a doctor before starting supplementation with this type of product, even though it is not on the list of doping substances.
