Evobasic Whey – The most practical whey
Evobasic Whey by SportSeries is a flavoured powdered food preparation, made with whey protein and lactase, and sweeteners.
Its development follows the line of our most famous protein: Evowhey Protein. We use Whey Protein Concentrate from milk obtained from grass-fed cows, to ensure maximum nutritional quality, and without lecithins. We work directly with the pure whey raw material to achieve smooth mixing without using emulsifiers. The result is a shake with slightly less protein content, but much more affordable and with an incomparable creamy texture.
Evobasic Whey is the creamiest whey protein at an unbeatable price.
Why choose Evobasic Whey over others?
Evobasic Whey is an alternative to other wheys, made with a “regular” WPC raw material, and a simple formulation to let you enjoy the benefits of increasing your dietary protein intake, without long lists of complicated ingredients.
But what exactly is “regular” protein?
Proteins are categorised by their processing – not just as concentrate or isolate – but also by their instantisation. Most proteins you can buy are “instant” versions, like Evowhey Protein or Evolate 2.0. This is because the raw material is coated with an emulsifier, usually lecithins, to significantly improve the interaction between the protein and water.
Evobasic Whey contains no lecithins, so it is considered a “regular” protein, but thanks to exceptional raw material quality control, it behaves like “instant” whey even without lecithins. Evobasic Whey is the ideal choice for people who want a simple, affordable protein, with no fuss.
A protein that delivers a super creamy shake, ready to mix – no need to worry about anything else.
Find out why protein is good for you
Protein is an essential nutrient, you need protein to maintain good health.
The minimum daily protein intake isn’t very high, and is usually reached through a regular diet, provided you consume typical protein-rich foods like meat, fish, eggs, or dairy.
If that’s not the case for you, whether you're strictly vegan and find it difficult to meet your nutritional needs, or an athlete who needs more than the minimum intake to reap the benefits of this nutrient for performance, Evobasic Whey is for you.
Protein is beneficial for athletes, the elderly, and anyone with increased protein requirements, because:
- Protein helps build and maintain muscle mass.
Evobasic Whey – Use it any time
Evobasic Whey is whey protein concentrate, making it an ideal choice for people looking for a protein to take before or after training. Plus, thanks to its unusually creamy consistency for whey, it’s incredibly enjoyable at any time of day. But that’s not all:
Evobasic Whey is great for cooking – use it in sponge cakes, pancakes, or in oats, rice flour recipes, smoothies and more.
You can take it as part of your breakfast, mixed with milk or plant-based drink for your coffee or cereals; or in the evening, as part of dinner or as a night-time snack, paired with nuts and a couple of squares of dark chocolate.
As a WPC, Evobasic Whey is considered a high nutritional quality protein, with a complete amino acid profile and rapid absorption.
With lactase – An enzyme for a low lactose content
Lactase is the enzyme responsible for lactose hydrolysis, breaking it down into its component monosaccharides: galactose and glucose.
We’ve added a significant amount of lactase to Evobasic Whey, with no less than 6666.6 lactase units per 100g of protein.
Also, Evobasic Whey – while not “lactose-free” as it’s made from milk whey, which naturally contains some of this sugar – is considered a protein with extremely low lactose content. This, combined with the specific addition of lactase makes Evobasic Whey a light and well-tolerated protein.
Evobasic Whey – A protein for everyone
We’ve said it already, but it’s worth repeating:
Evobasic Whey is the perfect protein for anyone looking for the best value for money.
If you have a teenager who’s active and sporty, but doesn’t eat much or isn’t getting enough protein, Evobasic Whey is essentially a protein-rich powdered food, making protein intake easy and fun thanks to its versatility and delicious flavours.
If you’re an athlete, or someone who’s always busy, eats out often, and your meals aren’t very protein-dense, Evobasic Whey is ideal to help you boost your protein intake easily.
And if you’re an older adult with little appetite for meat, fish, or other typically protein-rich foods, Evobasic Whey will help you reintroduce more protein into your diet, without rejection or lack of interest.
And all of this, at an unbeatable price for the most basic protein in the HSN SportSeries line.
What to expect from an Evobasic Whey shake
Evobasic Whey is a protein that, for a WPC, delivers a super creamy texture and delicious flavour, resulting in a smooth yet thick and rich milkshake-style drink. If you’ve ever tried whey protein before, like Evowhey, the result is similar – but you’ll find Evobasic Whey has a unique creaminess unlike any other whey.
Bear in mind that even though the shake mixes well, if you’re very sensitive to the presence of even small lumps, Evobasic Whey may fall slightly short compared to instantised proteins like Evowhey Protein – in which case, we recommend opting for one of those.
Can I use it in recipes?
Of course! Evobasic Whey performs like any other whey in this regard. It’s the ideal protein for recipes where you’re not aiming for specific technical properties, as unlike products like egg albumin, it doesn’t coagulate.
Basically, if you use it in batter for crepes, cakes, or other sweet recipes, it’ll add flavour and protein without affecting texture or preparation steps.
Enjoy high-protein recipes the easy and affordable way with Evobasic Whey.

Too sweet
Flo 01/08/2025
Dissolves a little less well in cold milk than Evowhey. I find it far too sweet (chocolate) and will try Evowhey without sweetener.

I like the evowhey better
Lorena 12/07/2025
I ordered chocolate and it didn't have the taste that evowhey chocolate has, so I had to mix it with another HSN protein. I think I bought it to see if I would get less acne but I haven't been able to test it because I ended up mixing it to make it taste richer.

Good alternative
Javi 12/06/2025
I wanted to try it in chocolate flavor to change from the evowhey, and it's fine. Creamier texture than the evowhey, ideal if you want to make a smoothie. But not so ideal for smoothies for the same reason. The taste is quite good.

Great value for money
Amanda 18/05/2025
I ordered chocolate and coffee. Chocolate is less sweet, yet the sweetness is too much for me. I take the coffee one mixed with coffee with milk to reduce the sweetness. I'm intolerant, I can't even drink plain yogurt but this suits me fine. About the lumps, I use a müller shaker with a grid and it doesn't leave ANY lumps. I got the new closure, so I'm happy, it finally closes!
