GI Biotics Powder - A Complete Powdered Ferments Formula
GI Biotics (Ferments) Powder from EssentialSeries is a revolutionary ferment formula, as we have managed to combine the maximum classical effectiveness of ferments in a new presentation format such as powder, thanks to the tindalization treatment of the ferments. Moreover, its complete formula includes many other interesting compounds for its goal: Glutamine, prebiotics, turmeric and ginger extract, and zinc.
The HSN powdered ferments formula is a 'GI' or 'Gastrointestinal' referring to its main objective and use, as it contains key elements for digestive health, such as zinc which contributes to the normal metabolism of macronutrients, or ginger, which contributes to the normal functioning of the intestinal tract.
GI Biotics Powder is also suitable for all types of people since it is vegan, contains no sweeteners or genetically modified organisms in its formula.
The first effective powdered ferments on the market, how?
Tindalized Ferments - What does it mean?
Tindalization is a procedure developed in the 19th century by the scientist John Tyndall, which involves abrupt and large magnitude temperature variations in the environment of a compound, to alter its ultrastructure without damaging its properties. One of the main uses of tindalization is its application in ferments, after which, the product is known as post-ferment or 'ghost ferment'.
The mechanism of action of tindalized ferments has been reported by numerous studies over the last decade, and Piqué et al. (2019) in their latest review define it as:
There is considerable published evidence that preparations containing tindalized ferments and their metabolites can also exert relevant biological responses, in many cases similar to those observed with traditional ferments, although with potential differences. After the tindalization of bacteria, mainly by heat treatment, the tindalized ferments can release bacterial components with physiological effects. It has been proposed that different bacterial components, such as lipoteichoic acids, peptidoglycans, or exopolysaccharides (EPS), mainly participate in these properties in preparations containing tindalized bacteria.
As you can see, when we deal with functions related to the tindalized treatment of bacteria, bacterial components play a relevant role in their nutritional interest, and not only the colony formations of their unit metric is the relevant mechanism.
Tindalized ferments are part of the future, and thanks to HSN, of the present, of dietary supplements in the ferments sector. Try them in GI Biotics Powder!
3 different families of ferments - Full spectrum
GI Biotics Powder has a broad-spectrum composition of ferments. Species from the 3 main families of bacteria used for their activity and nutritional relevance, among which we find:
- Lactobacillus: With 5 species used - Plantarum, acidophilus, casei, reuteri, rhamnosus.
- Bifidobacterium: With 3 species used - Bifidum, breve, lactis.
- Streptococcus: With 1 species used - Thermophilus.
A total of 9 different species used in specific proportions based on scientific research in the field of nutritional relevance of ferments, which is why many of the specific species available in the unique composition of GI Biotics Powder may sound familiar to you from their interest in the field of ferment nutrition. You have a large amount of scientific studies in journals with high impact factors that deal with these specific strains:

GI Biotics Powder is the result of years of research and development, not only in terms of product formulation, but also in reviewing the most relevant and innovative scientific research in the field of study of bacteria used as ferments compounds in the organism.
Formula aimed at action on the gastrointestinal system
GI Biotics is the formula with a composition most specifically aimed at optimizing the digestive system, as it always contains nutrients specifically added for this goal.
You can find other presentations of GI Biotics, in vegetable capsule format with gastro-resistant (enteric) coating because its selection of ferments is not tindalized; in two different concentrations:
GI Biotics Powder is a complete formula of tindalized ferments, with nutrients specifically aimed at optimizing the digestive system, among which we can find:
- Turmeric, which contributes to the stimulation of the production of the body's digestive fluids and helps facilitate the digestion of fats.
- Ginger, which contributes to the normal functioning of the intestinal tract and to physical well-being.
- Zinc, which contributes to the normal metabolism of macronutrients.
Enjoy the highest complete effectiveness with GI Biotics Powder.
With specific enzymes - Broad spectrum with DigeZyme® patent
Digezyme® is a patent from Sabinsa Europe GmbH, which has committed to the manufacturing of highly developed technological enzyme complexes aimed at dietary supplementation in humans.

Its production is based on the use of plant sources that, through fermentation processes, allow for a pure, micronized version of the enzymes.
| Enzyme | Origin | Source |
| Neutral Protease | Bacterial | Bacillus subtilis |
| Alpha-Amylase | Yeast | Aspergillus oryzae |
| Lactase | Yeast | Aspergillus oryzae |
| Lipase | Yeast | Rhizopus oryzae |
| Cellulase | Yeast | Trichoderma Longibrachiatum |
To this complex we have added Bromelain, a complex of proteolytic enzymes naturally present in the stems and fruits of pineapple (Ananas comosus).
Each serving of GI Biotics (Ferments) Powder contains:
- 3600 Units of Amylase.
- 900 Units of Protease.
- 600 Units of Lactase.
- 500 Units of Brom elain.
- 150 Units of Lipase.
- 30 Units of Cellulase.
Complete formula with prebiotics: Inulin + FOS
In addition to 'ferments', there is another term known as 'prebiotic' which refers to compounds that are fibers and act nutritionally synergistically with ferment bacteria.
There is extensive scientific research that coins and identifies these terms and compounds:
- Pandey, K. R., Naik, S. R., & Vakil, B. V. (2015). Probiotics, prebiotics and synbiotics- a review. Journal of food science and technology, 52(12), 7577–7587.
GI Biotics contains a mix of tindalized ferment bacteria with prebiotics such as Inulin (raw material Orafti®HSI) and FOS (Fructo-Oligo-Saccharides).
Provides 5g of Glutamine per dose
Glutamine is an important amino acid in the human body, important for its great presence in the body, as glutamine is the main amino acid present in the protein structures of our organism.
The reason glutamine is present in the GI Biotics powder formula is the extensive amount of scientific research associating its use with the digestive system in general, in search of its link, whose details are still partially unknown, but promising, and exciting to scientific researchers:
- Rao, R. K., & Samak, G. (2012). Role of glutamine in protection of intestinal epithelial tight junctions. Journal of Epithelial Biology and Pharmacology, 5(SPEC. ISSUE), 47–54.

- Kim, M. H., & Kim, H. (2017). The roles of glutamine in the intestine and its implication in intestinal diseases. International Journal of Molecular Sciences, 18(5), 1051.
The daily dose of 5 grams of glutamine has been established, following the publication by Arwert et al (2003), as the reference dose for dietary supplementation with this compound.
Ferment / Prebiotic / Postbiotic / Symbiotic - GI Biotics
Each specific term has a role in the composition of GI Biotics powder and we tell you what it is:
- Ferment: Defined by AESAN as: 'Bacterial species, bacterial strains or species of living microorganisms'. They are the inspiration for all the products in our biotics line.
- Prebiotic: Refers to types of fiber linked to ferments. GI Biotics powder contains Inulin and FOS, both compounds considered prebiotic.
- Postbiotic: Post-biotic is the term referred to the specific process of tindalization of ferments, they are also known as 'tindalized ferments' or 'heat-treated ferments'. GI Biotics contains a specific selection of 9 strains of postbiotics.
- Symbiotic: As prebiotics are considered synergistic to ferments, science has coined the term 'symbiotic' to refer to the combination of both. Given that the functional attributions associated with post-biotics are the same as those of ferments, GI Biotics powder is a symbiotic.
GI Biotics is a complete formula, and its powder presentation is an innovative version with maximum effectiveness in terms of bacterial ferments focused on the application of the field of nutrition.
Easy to prepare - Good solubility
The way to prepare your GI Biotics powder could not be simpler, as it does not have specific requirements for its correct use.
You just need to mix your product intake with water, stir to homogenize the mixture and it is ready to drink, since GI Biotics powder is an instant product: Mix 10g with about 150ml of water and ready.
