Premium Nutritional Yeast (Engevita®) Flakes by FoodSeries is a food based on dehydrated, enriched inactive yeast, produced by processing of Saccharomyces cerevisiae bacteria.

The 'premium' nutritional yeast is enriched with natural Vitamin D thanks to the environment used to grow the yeast.

Premium nutritional yeast has a naturally present vitamin content that provide a number of health properties:

  • Riboflavin contributes to normal energy metabolism.

    I was scared by some opinions, but it is delicious. It tastes like cheese, so it creams and with my scrambled eggs it is delicious. Brewer's yeast tastes worse.

    I found the flavor a bit strong, but for adding it to cooked dishes it is perfect. It does not convince me to sprinkle it as if it were grated cheese, but it does convince me to include it in food when it is cooked (for example a carbonara).
