Liposomal Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin) (Liposovit®) (500mcg Vitamin B12) from EssentialSeries is a food supplement made from the active form of vitamin B12 (cobalamin) as methyl- (methylated form) cobalamin. In a liposomal presentation to ensure greater protection, stability, and therefore overall bioavailability of the nutrient.

Vitamin B12 is a nutritionally essential vitamin, and the human body needs it to maintain the proper functioning of systems such as energy, nervous, liver, and haematological health. The conditions of the liposomisation preparation process vary depending on the R&D team in charge, but generally, they share the lipid preparation, hydration of the lipid film, and sonication/extrusion for extraction.

One of the main problems in the treatment of vitamins and minerals, as well as other nutrients such as liposomes, is that these structures, if not properly developed, are easily degradable.

Biologically, methylcobalamin is the active form, which is why it is preferred by many consumers, as its use does not require conversion in the body and is directly bioavailable, while cyanocobalamin is the usual fermentation form that has traditionally been used as a complementary vitamin B12, and is therefore perfectly valid, but requires metabolic conversion in the human body.

Both presentations have the same potency at equal doses, and their effects in the body do not differ from each other.

    It is one of those products that you don't notice if it has an effect or if you don't notice it is precisely because it is having an effect, since a B12 deficit is a problem. I hardly eat meat, so it is essential in my diet. The capsules are small and it comes in a very concentrated dose. I recommend it.
