We have used the patent HydroBeefTM in order to bring you a high quality protein that is also dairy and gluten-free.
This protein has a good intestinal tolerance thanks to its hydrolysis. This protein has been hydrolyzed, which means that its chains have been broken down, resulting in oligopeptides (small amino acid bonds) that improve the digestion of the protein, since they require less enzymatic activity in the bowel for their breakdown before being absorbed.
According to Koopman et al., (2009) ''to sum up, unlike an intact protein, taking a hydrolyzed protein speeds up the digestion and absorption by the intestine''. This is the reason why our Evobeef is so well-tolerated even by those who suffer digestive discomfort when they take protein products. Consequently, the amino acids from the protein will be available immediately.
Commercial meat proteins are usually stuffed with fillers. For example, they tend to contain hydrolyzed bovine collagen which is a source with 'few essential amino acids' (Paul et al., 2019). Consequently, they will provide amino acids that barely have any potential to stimulate the muscle protein synthesis.

Why have we added L-leucine?
Because the ''mTORC1 is the master regulator of the growth cells and their metabolism. Leucine activates the mTORC1 pathway'' (Son et al., 2019).
That is why we have enriched our protein with this amino acid, which comes from a vegetable source and it has been extracted through a natural fermentation process. Therefore, we have not used animal sources such as feathers, hair or fish remains (D’Este, Alvarado-Morales & Angelidaki, 2018). In fact, this is a very common practice in the food industry in order to obtain amino acids.
Our R+D department has worked to improve the taste and solubility of our Evobeef 2.0, since hydrolyzed meat tends to have a bitter aftertaste.
